What does the modification to Psylo Race/SL Pure damping do?
Stock Pure damping suffers from high speed spiking (when you hit a medium to large square-edge bump the fork cannot compress quickly enough causing the shock to be transmitted to the handlebars). By modifying the compression piston to increase the compression port volume this spiking can be eliminated. It also enables 10 wt oil to be used which increases the low-medium speed compression damping which helps reduce brake dive. The only downside to all this is that the lockout function is lost. The red Pure knob now controls the compression from very little to quite stout but never enough to lock the fork. For most people lockout is not required on what is a 'Freeride' fork.

My Psylo XC/ Hydra Air Duke rebound adjuster is jammed what's the cure?
The plastic adjusting needle in the middle of the Hydra Coil/Hydra Air damper can swell after a year or two making the rebound impossible to adjust. As a fix you can have a new damper (expensive) or allow us to 'fix' the port volume to match the correct rebound speed for your weight. We then fill the damper with 7.5 wt oil so if you don't agree with our setting you can speed it up or slow it down by changing to a thicker or thinner oil. We don't charge any extra for this it's part of the standard service

My Psylo XC/ Hydra Air Duke is stiff/ratchety or is topping out, what's up?
The plastic damping piston can swell up (causing stiff/ratchety action) & in extreme cases jam in the upper tube causing the damper rod to become detached from the piston (fork tops out). As part of our standard service we always machine the piston & a few other tricks to cure this or prevent it happening in the first place

What's the problem with my clunky Pure Delite Duke?
The combination of a tight o-ring on the Internal Floating Piston & an under sized piston glide ring make the Pure Delite system clunky & feel like you have a loose headset especially when you slow up the rebound. We can fix this with a few tricks to make your Pure Delite a delight to ride. As there is a lot of work & extra parts involved in this mod we charge a little extra (£10) if you want it done.
